The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between MESKO S.A. and Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace took place during Defence24 Days, the largest security conference in Central and Eastern Europe, held in Warsaw on 6–7 May. It marks another step in the rapidly expanding Polish-Nordic defence cooperation, this time with Norway’s defence industry.

Kongsberg’s flexible remote weapon stations can be installed on various vehicles, carriers, and even vessels, both on manned or robotic platforms. Its systems integrate advanced sensor suites, including high‑resolution day cameras, thermal imagers, and laser range finders. They support a wide range of effectors, such as machine guns, grenade launchers, anti‑tank missiles, short‑range air‑defence weapons, and Counter‑UAS solutions, some of which are produced by MESKO.

The planned cooperation between MESKO and Kongsberg will focus on integrating the Polish company’s ammunition and missile products with its Norwegian partner’s RS6/RS4 remote weapon stations. Among them will be MESKO’s flagship product, the Piorun man-portable air-defence system, which proved especially lethal in Ukraine.

At the same time, the signing ceremony underscored Defence24 Days« growing role not only as a panel and exhibition event, but also as a platform where strategic defence-industrial cooperation is being actively forged. This was reinforced by another MoU signed at the same venue between Polish Armaments Group and Lockheed Martin, opening the door for Polish companies to become more deeply integrated into the American defence giant’s supply chains.
