USSOCOM Medal for Polish General

On Tuesday, 28 October a ceremony was held in Warsaw during which Maj. Gen. Piotr Patalong was awarded The United States Special Operations Command Medal. Gen. Joseph Votel, the highest ranking soldier of U.S. special forces presentned that prestigious decoration to Maj. Gen. Patalong.

General Commander of Polish Armed Forces Lt. Gen. pilot Lech Majewski and commanders of special units participated in the ceremony.

The decision of awarding Polish General that medal is among other things an expression of recognition of achievements and operational skills reached by Polish Special Forces. For Poland, as the seventh state in the world, besides countries such as U.S., United Kingdom or France gained status of a framework nation in the field of conducting allied special operations and became an unquestionable leader in Central-Eastern Europe.
