US Soldiers To Reach Ukraine In April
According to the memorandum concluded between the USA and Ukraine, soldiers of the US Army’s 173rd Airborne Brigade will be deployed to the Lviv District.
290 US paratroops will come to Ukraine on 20th April. Such information was released on 30th March by the Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov. The soldiers would conduct training activities for the Ukrainian National Guard. 900 Ukrainian soldiers would be involved in the programme.
The training is to, according to Avakov, split into 3 cycles, with each cycle involving 300 soldiers. The courses are going to be carried out for the well known military units, including the Azov or the Kulchychky battalions, as well as National Guard members from a variety of cities and regions, including Kiev, Kharkiv, Zaporozhye, Odessa, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk or Vinnytsa.
After the trainings are finished, the involved units are to receive special purpose ammo and communication devices.
