Multi-Spectral Berberys Camouflage for the Polish Army. Contract Concluded by the Lubawa Group

Miranda company, belonging to the Lubawa Group, has signed a contract with the Polish Ministry’s of Defence Armament Inspectorate, the value of which is said to reach PLN 27 million, covering the procurement of the Berberys multi-spectral camouflage.

Berberys camouflage covers may be used both in order to hide the equipment, e.g. the Rosomak APCs, as well as in order to cover the relevant infrastructure. This type of system is used to camouflage the given subject in optical, thermal and radar spectra.

Berberys camouflage is a product of high quality and very good parameters, and the Polish Army is eager to use it, representatives of the foreign Ministries of Defence have also expressed their interest in the product (...) - as it was stated by the President of the Management Board at the Lubawa S.A. company, Marcin Kubica. As he assured, the production process required to finalize the order shall begin “immediately”. Berberys system has been presented in 2016 during the Anakonda exercise, and during the MSPO 2016 defence exhibition.

The contract value is defined as PLN 27 million. The whole work pertaining to the agreement is expected to be performed by 30th November, however, part of the deliveries is to begin from mid-October. The purchase of the said equipment has been finalized as a single-source procurement.
