MSPO 2016: GPS Receivers Made in Zielona Góra with the Defender Award

This year, the Defender Statuette was received, among other entities, by the Hertz Systems company based in Zielona Góra, for the HGPST T ANTI-JAM system, composed out of a GPS receiver which is operated together with a SAASM HGPST T-EFTS encryption module and GAJT-710 ML antenna. The equipment in question is highly resistant to jamming and spoofing.

During the XXIV edition of the MSPO Kielce defence industry exhibition, numerous products were awarded with the Defender Prize, in the presence of the Polish President, Andrzej Duda. The award in question is received for development of distinguishable technical solutions, applied in case of the equipment which is destined to be used in the fields of national security and defence.

This year, the Defender Statuette was received, among other entities, by the Hertz Systems company based in Zielona Góra, which, in collaboration with the Canadian NovAtel Inc. company, has prepared the HGPST T ANTI-JAM system, composed out of a GPS receiver coupled together with a SAASM HGPST T-EFTS encryption module and a GAJT-710 ML antenna. The equipment in question is highly resistant to jamming and spoofing. At the same time, the device is the only solution based on space technologies, awarded during the Kielce exhibition.

HGPST-EFTS receiver is a specialized derivative of the HGPST T device. It is different from its prerequisite only within the scope of the fact that it features a frequency standard module. Thanks to the solution above, it is possible to synchronize time and frequency for a variety of military platforms, including radars operating simultaneously, being located at locations which remain far away from one another.

HGPST-EFTS system has been created in 2010 as a response to the needs of the Polish Air Force units, which were looking to find a replacement for the civil GPS solutions still being utilized by the Air Force and by the air defence component. The receiver is dedicated to be used with radar stations, communication suites (e.g. Link 16) and BMS and BFT systems. The said device is also utilized and applied in case of the Polish Navy's Kormoran II Mine Countermeasures Vessel.
