French Armoured Company Deploying to Poland

French Minister of Defence, Jean-Yves Le Drian, has stated that a French armoured unit will be deployed to Poland, in order to take part in the NATO exercise.

As it has been stated by the Polish MoD via Twitter, Jean-Yves Le Drian has said that an armoured unit will be sent to Poland in order to take part in an exercise. What is more, information, according to which the Russian Mistral deal has been suspended, also has been publicised. Press Release of the Polish MoD says that the Polish exercise is to be attended by an armoured company.

In the light of the Ukrainian crisis, the French so far decided to deploy Mirage 2000 and Rafale fighters to Malbork. The fighters stayed there in order to take part in the NATO Baltic Air Policing Mission.

What is more, a French AWACS aircraft was involved in patrol flights above the Mid-Eeastern Europe, and finally, the French Navy vessels marked their presence in the Black Sea region, in cooperation with, among others, the US Navy units.
