The plant was burned down in the Czech city of Pardubice on March 20. The facilities belong to the manufacturer of Ukrainian thermal imagers Archer. The founder and CEO of Archer Oleksandr Yaremenko has responded to the arson: „I inform you that on the night of March 20, our enterprise in the Czech Republic „Archer-LPP” was purposefully burned by a group of masked people.”

The warehouse and a neighbouring administrative building were destroyed in the fire. There were no casualties, however, the material damage was significant. Yaremenko assured his partners and customers that the sabotage would not stop the company’s work. All contracts will be fulfilled, and products shall be shipped on time.

Archer-LPP is a well-known manufacturer of high-tech optics, which include thermal-imaging sights and surveillance systems. Their products are actively used by the Ukrainian military in the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian war.

The incident is being investigated as a terrorist attack. The previously unknown group The Earthquake Faction has claimed responsibility for the arson.
