On Monday and Tuesday, during the MSPO 22nd International Defence Industry Exhibition, Kielce Security Conference is to take place. Defence24 is its media partner. This conference is the third edition, and it is especially worth noting, due to the substantive discussion panels, led by significant and interesting speakers. This year politicians, experts, representatives of the military and defence industry are going to discuss, inter alia, the Ukrainian crisis and consolidation of the defence sector.

MSPO is attended by representatives of the largest defence companies, both local and global ones. Each year, Kielce fair is visited by political and military delegates from all around the world. The expo is also attended by experts and journalists – it is a perfect place, where besides going through the expo and developing your network, you may get engaged in a public discussion about the development of the defence market – says Andrzej Mochoń, president of Targi Kielce S.A.

The first conference had been organized back in 2012 and it consisted out of two panels. Next year, the conference lasted 2 days, and this year it is the same. The conference will be opened by the deputy Minister of National Defence who deals with the security policy -  Robert Kupiecki. After this presentation is over, „Ukraine – test for Europe” panel is to start. The discussion will be attended, among others, by the Ukrainian deputy Minister of Defence, general Oleksandr Lishchinskyi, ex-Minister of National Defence of Poland – Bogdan Klich and other significant Eastern policy experts. The next panel on the NATO experience gathered in Afghanistan is to be carried out in a form of a conference call with contribution of Jamie Shea, who is going to participate in the Kielce event straight from the NATO HQ.

Tuesday panel is to cover the subjects related to the future of the Polish defence industry. After the annual meeting of the Deputy Ministers of Defence, Treasury and Economy with the Entrepreneurs, a panel organized by the Polish Defence Holding is to take place. This panel will deal with the prospects and challenges that are to be faced by the defence sector after it is consolidated. Ministry of Defence State Secretary – Czesław Mroczek, PGZ President – Wojciech Dąbrowski and President of the PDH – Marcin Idzik are to be the main speakers.
