Elements of the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade are to be deployed to Europe, and this deployment is to constitute a part of a 9 months long rotation. The unit is to be based in the town of Illesheim, in the Eastern part of Germany (Bavaria). The element’s helicopters are expected to take part in the operations undertaken on the Eastern NATO flank, they are going to be deployed to Latvia, Romania and Poland.

The unit deployed in Europe will probably operate Apache, Black Hawk, and maybe Chinook rotorcraft. 10th CAB will constitute a major reinforcement of the US Army aviation in Europe, the core of which is currently formed by the 12th Brigade stationed in Germany.
